BEACON FELL COUNTRY PARK

A Country Park with 185 acres of conifer woods and moorland, forest walks and viewpoints. The summit of Beacon Fell Country Park is 266m above sea level and offers spectacular views of the Forest of Bowland and Morecambe Bay. On a clear day it is possible to see the Isle of Man.

FARMERS ARMS WALK

Enjoy our very own local walk taking you right from our door and back again! This 12km route across field paths, roads and river banks of the Wyre offers stunning scenery and a welcome refreshment stop in the village of Great Eccleston.

BLACKPOOL SPORTING CLAYS

Test your reflex speeds at Blackpool Sporting Clays, the perfect location for clay pigeon shooting, tuition and corporate shooting days. Previously known as Blackpool Gun Club, the venue has been serving the clay pigeon shooting community since 2000.

RIBBY HALL VILLAGE

BLaCKPOOL ZOO

This 32-acre zoo is located in the heart of Blackpool and offers a fun day out for the entire family. It houses over 1,500 animals originating from all over the world. There are several notable animals housed within the zoo, including orangutans, elephants, gorillas, giraffes, as well as a children’s farm and a dinosaur safari.


MARTON MERE LOCAL NATURE RESERVE

This nature reserve on the fringe of urban Blackpool is a tranquil and relaxing escape, which will be of particular interest to bird fans. There are several habitats on site including open water, reed beds, grassland and woodland. Some of the species besides birds on the reserve include butterflies, orchids, bats and dragonflies


THE PORK SHOP

If you visit Poulton le Fylde, your trip won’t be complete without a visit to this butcher located in the heart the town. They have a full butcher counter with a range of fresh meat and sausages, but the real attraction is their selection of homemade pies and roast chicken.


A&D PARKINSONS BUTCHERS

This traditional butchers’ shop is open 7 days a week, so there’s no excuse not to bob in for some meaty delights. With a meat counter full of traditional cuts as well as a few special recipes of their own, we urge you to pay them a visit.

GREAT ECCLESTON FARMERS MARKET

Savour the colourful delights on offer at the Great Eccleston Farmers Market, which takes place on the third Wednesday of every month, 9am to 1pm. The farmers market runs alongside the regular, weekly market which is a bustling part of Great Eccleston village life. You can pick up fruit and veg all locally grown, fresh fish, flowers and household items, to name but a few. The main weekly market takes place every Wednesday from 9am to 4pm.


PEBBYS BAKERY

You might have noticed Pebby’s breads on our menu and hopefully you’ve given them a try! Pebby’s can be found at the heart of Great Eccleston’s High Street where no one can resist the freshly baked aromas of sweet and savoury products as they walk by.
